Relationships have the power to change and transform lives
We’ve always understood the important role a Big Brother or Big Sister can have in a Little’s life. We knew other adults were important in a Little’s life, but until recently we did not have a model that reflected the true team effort, leveraging all the most significant adult’s in a Little’s life.
The 4:1+1sm model puts the child at the center and highlights the critical but different roles of the parent, Big, teacher, professional program staff and donor. The model gives us a structured way to engage each team member with the agency and with each other! We’re opening the doors of communication among all the team members, helping to build trusting relationships. The result is a unified effort on behalf of the child. We’re excited to identify the 4:1+1sm relationship model as a real vehicle for change!
